Example

Return the ASCII value of the first character in "CustomerName":

SELECT ASCII(CustomerName) AS NumCodeOfFirstChar
FROM Customers;

 


Definition and Usage

The ASCII() function returns the ASCII value for the specific character.

ASCII(character)
